I forgot that I was here for that reason. I was starting to feel down about that again. I don’t want him to leave. We start walking. They walk ahead of me, playing around. It sucks. I was the only one so low, and of course, the only one confused. We arrive at Bob’s house. Bob walks out right as Frankie and Katheryne jump on Gerard’s back. He was able to stand for like five seconds, then his knees finally gave away and he fell forward. It got Bob to make a weird face, then laugh. Seeing him laugh made me slightly happy, but more sad at the same time. He walked past them to stand beside me.

“And their reason to do this is what?” Bob tries to joke.

“I don’t know about her.” I say, pointing to Katheryne. “But you should know how Frank and Gerard are together.” They finally get up. Everybody looks at Bob.

“So…” Gerard started to say. Nobody knows what say. It’s an awkward moment, no one wants to bring up the fact that Bob is leaving in a little bit. Finally after a minute of silence, Katheryne asks;
“So how much time do you have before you leave?” That kinda bothered me but I wanted to know and it seemed Gerard and Frankie did as well.

“Uhm… maybe like two or three hours.” Everyone was quit again.

“Then let’s do something. There’s no point to stand here and wait till you leave.” She says.

“Yeah let’s go to the mall and get some coffee.” Gerard says. “My car is down the street at Frankie’s house.”

”Yeah come on Bob. Come on lets go!” Frankie says, tugging on Bob’s arm and pulling him to go. Bob pulls his arm away then wraps it around Frankie’s neck.

“Alright, let’s go.” As he walks past Katheryne he puts his arm around her neck. “Come on Kathy. You’re the one that pushed this.”

“Ugh. Don’t call me that. You know I hate that.” They laughed as the walked ahead. I don’t get how Bob knows her already. The person that hates when people jump on him is wrapping his arm around her. How come I get sarcasm and attitude? How come she isn’t pushing him away? I just don’t understand how she’s here.

“What’s wrong?” Gerard asks, surprising me.

“What?”

“What’s wrong? You’re making weird faces.”

“I’m just wondering besides this girl being Frankie’s friend, who is she?” He scratches his head.

“Well. He hasn’t told me much. He just said she’s from his old school. Has family problems, and had to move in with him.”

“That’s all he told you?”

“Yeah. He said it’s up to her to tell us anymore.”

“Okay… then how does Bob know her already? I mean, he’s wrapping his arm around her. He usually doesn’t like touching people.” He laughs at that last part.

“Well she was with us yesterday to see if he will come with us to the party. She also has been here for a week already. He might have met her then.” That annoyed me they didn't take me to convince him, but I just ignored that.

“That still doesn’t explain him putting his arm around her. He doesn’t usually get that close to people if he doesn’t know them that well.”

“Well she is cute.” He says with a grin, blushing. “He’s probably trying to use his time wisely.”

“Mmhuh.” I guess he has a point. I guess it’s just odd that she hasn’t been mentioned being here for a week already. Especially with Frankie being an old friend, I would think he would be excited to tell us. We get to Frankie’s. Frankie runs towards the car, Gerard behind him. Frankie gets to the passenger door.

“Come on come on! Open the damn door!” Bob and I race to get to the nearest door. He holds me back as we wait for the back door to be opened. Frankie laughs at us in the front seat while Gerard unlocks the door. I try to push Bob out of the way, but of course I couldn’t.

“Hey! You guys!” Katheryne calls behind us. We all look. All I see is a flash, and then spots in my eyes. I realize she has a camera in her hands. Not just a small camera anyone can have. This was a professional’s camera. I guess she had it hidden in her sweater. I don’t like that she took a picture without us knowing.

“Damn it I wasn’t ready for that!” Frankie yells out, laughing.

“Oh well.” She says. “Most pictures look better unplanned.” She runs over, pushing Bob out of the way and making him bump into me. She opens the door and gets in quickly, closing the door and locking it behind her. Frankie busts out laughing while Gerard looks at us, wanting to laugh.

“What the hell?” I say. Bob slowly turns around, looks at me, and laughs. I push him against the car. “Shut up.” My push barely did anything to him. He was still laughing. “You’re sitting in the middle.” I tell him.

“Fine with me.” He says, laughing and winking at Gerard and Frankie, then heads toward the other side. From the corner of my eye I could see her smirking. Frankie is still laughing as Gerard closes his door. He puts his arm around me, leading me to the other side.

“Calm down, Mikey. She’s just playing around. You will like her eventually. She’s not like the other Katherine you met, pure evil. Plus you don’t have to kiss Frankie this time.” He laughs. I hate it when he brings that up. He goes on and on sometimes like when he kisses Frankie on the cheek, he tells me not to be jealous. Thankfully, this time he can’t. I don’t get why or when Frankie told him. He will never let me forget that.

I get in the back seat. I reach over to Frankie and punch him as hard as I can on his shoulder.

“Ow! What the fuck was that for?” He asks, rubbing his shoulder.

”I don’t know. Because it made me feel better.” I say, looking out the window, smirking, as Gerard pulls out of the driveway.

[4 Hours Later]
We just got a call from Bob’s mom, saying he needs to get back so they can leave. I guess she didn’t mind we were out for so long, because she didn’t seem mad. We spent the last few hours like any other weekend. At the mall, getting big cups of lattes, walking around. Just playing around, going to the arcade and buying any random thing we could afford. Katheryne was taking pictures. I didn’t care, I was having fun. But when we got that call everyone was upset getting into the car. We arrive at what is about to be Bob’s old house. His mom is outside talking to his neighbors. We all get out, Bob’s mom tells him they are about to leave. We all stand beside her car.

“I guess I should say good bye.” Bob says. We see his mom walking towards the car.

“Ok, man.” Gerard says, walking up to him and giving him a hug. “Good-bye. Hope to see you soon.” Then Frank hugs him and says his goodbye. He even hugs Katheryne, mumbling something in her ear, making her smile. Then she says something about sending him the pictures she took to him. It was my turn. I did not want this, but it was inevitable. I give him a hug. Its depressing thinking he won’t be here to keep me stable.

“We need to go, Robert.” I was about to let go, then I see Frank pushing Katheryne and Gerard to hug Bob again. That makes him laugh.

“I’ll miss you guys. I’ll be stopping by Ray’s job to say good-bye.” He gives us one last squeeze. Then he gets in the car, waves goodbye as he drives away as we stand here with watery eyes and tears rolling down our cheeks. I feel an emptiness in my chest. He’s gone.
